Fees

Upon request, repairing or revising (modifying, updating or withdrawing) a Jordanian standard/technical base or adopting an international, regional or national standard as a Jordanian standard.

  • In addition to the sales tax, a request to establish a standard specification or Jordanian technical foundation costs 500 Dinars.
  • In addition to the sales tax, a request to establish a standard specification or Jordanian technical foundation costs 200 Dinars.

Providing technical consultation on Jordanian technical rules and standards requirements

  • Each product indicated in the technical consultation request costs 20 Dinars plus sales tax, whether in Arabic or English. 
  • A fee of 40 Dinars will be charged if two copies of the technical consultation are requested in Arabic and English.

Services of the Directorate of Conformity Certificates

Service

Fees 

Awarding the Jordanian Quality Mark

The stage of requesting a quality mark:

  • The facility's initial evaluation charge is 100 Dinars.
  • Fees for getting a copy of the technical requirement, calculated in accordance with the publishing prices instructions given by the Standards and Metrology Organization No. (3) of 2015 and its amendments, using the number of pages of the requirement as a basis.
  • Until the first time the quality mark certificate is awarded, 50 Dinars for the contract form and accompanying paperwork.

The stage of the procedures for granting, renewing or expanding the scope of the quality mark certificate:


  • 600  Dinars for the technical evaluation of the facility for a single product in the stage of obtaining or renewing the quality mark certificate for a period of three years. If the field is expanded by awarding a new certificate to another product during the validity period of previous certificates, the institution shall charge a percentage of 600 Dinars equal to the percentage resulting from dividing the remaining period of the certificate’s validity period divided by a period of three years. So that the new certificate's expiration date is the same as the valid certificates' expiration date.
  • If a certificate from a certified entity is not available, 300 Dinars will be used to assess the facility's management system.
  • Each additional copy of the certificates (Arabic / English) costs 20 Dinars.
  • Fees of 50 Dinars for issuing a certificate, whether in Arabic or English, if a trademark's field is expanded during the certificate's validity period.

Post follow-up stage:

  • 300  Dinars for the technical assessment of the facility in preparation for future follow-up.
  • In the absence of a certificate from a recognized entity, 200 Dinars will be used to assess the facility's management system for the purposes of future follow-up.

Wages of residents, technical specialists, and grievance committee members:

  • For evaluations within Jordan, the management system evaluator's wage is 50 Dinars per working day, while for evaluations outside Jordan, it is 100 Dinars.
  • For evaluations within Jordan, the technical expert's wage is 100 Dinars per working day, and for evaluations outside Jordan, it is 150 Dinars.
  • 50 Dinars, if the grievance committee replies to the facility's grievance, the institution pays the expert's wages (for each working day), but if the grievance is approved, the institution pays the wages.

Note: The facility (whether inside or outside Jordan) is responsible for all travel, transportation, and lodging costs associated with bringing the evaluator or technical expert, as well as anyone accompanying him from the directorate, if necessary.

Issuing of certificates of conformity

Examination fees: vary depending on the type of examination.

▪ Certificate issuance fees for Jordanian items are 20 Dinars.

▪ Each additional copy of Jordanian products costs 5 Dinars.

▪ Fees for issuing a certificate of conformity for non-Jordanian items are 100 Dinars.

▪ For non-Jordanian products, each additional copy costs 20 Dinars.

▪ Inspection fees on Jordanian and non-Jordanian products are 10 Dinars.

▪ Fees for the inspector who inspects non-Jordanian or Jordanian products are 10 Dinars.

Verifying the authenticity of the organic product certification

Paying the wages of the European Retailers Association.

▪ - A copy of the contract costs 25 Dinars.

▪ - The report assessor wage costs 50 Dinars till the certificate is obtained.

▪ 100 Dinars for each working day paid by the first party (the certificate applicant), as well as in the case that the third party (the Directorate of Conformity Certificates) conducts sudden farm inspections.

▪ - 300 Dinars for the costs of awarding the certificate to the farms without a processing and packaging operator and that apply to obtain the certificate within the first option (Option 1), for each field.

▪ - 350 Dinars for each field for awarding the certificate to farms that own or depend on an operator for processing and packaging and that apply to obtain the certificate within the first option (Option 1), for each field.

▪ - 500 Dinars for each field for awarding the certificate to the group of farms applying to obtain the certificate under the second option (Option 2).

▪ - 50 Dinars in the case that a grievance committee is formed. If the grievance is rejected, the salaries are paid to each member of the committee; nevertheless, if the grievance is accepted, the institution pays the above-mentioned amount.

▪ - Each additional copy of the certificate costs 20 Dinars.

Verifying the authenticity of the organic product certification

  • Regardless of the amount of products in each certificate, a fee of 30 Dinars is charged for certifying the validity of the organic production certificate.
  • An extra copy of the certificate costs 10 Dinars.

Granting the logo and halal certificate

The institution charges the facility at the stage of granting, renewing or expanding the certificate and logo of a halal product the following fees:

▪ 50 Dinars for naming the facility a contract model for the purpose of issuing/renewing a halal product certificate and logo.

▪ 600 Dinars for evaluating the establishment for a single commodity (grant or renewal).

▪ If a certificate from a recognized body (grant or renewal) is not available, 600 Dinars will be charged for auditing the food safety management system.

▪ 300 Dinars for an evaluation of the establishment and subsequent follow-up

▪ In the absence of a certificate from a recognized entity, 300 Dinars will be charged for auditing the food safety management system (post-follow-up).

▪ 100 Dinars per working day for each member of the audit team.

▪ For the initial visit/working day, each team member will receive 50 Dinars.

▪ Each additional copy of the certificate costs 25 Dinars.

▪ In the event that the field is expanded within the validity period of other certificates, the financial fees are calculated by dividing the remaining time on the preceding certificate's expiry date by three years.

▪ In the event that a grievance committee is formed, the complainant must pay each member of the committee 50 Jordanian Dinars if the grievance is rejected. However, if the grievance is accepted, the institution is required to pay the above-mentioned amount.

▪ Note: The facility granted permission to use the Halal product brand is responsible for all travel, transportation, and lodging costs associated with bringing the foreign auditor in from outside Jordan. In addition to the Jordanian auditor's lodging and transportation costs associated with transporting him to and from the facility site, if necessary.
